In August 2010, huang wei received a scholarship from the Chinese government for his diligence and hard work. So he boarded a plane to Shanghai, China, with other students studying in China. Due to the unknown weather in China, it started to make a joke. "It was August, from the golden side. Ten of us, each with a coat, because we felt that Shanghai was on the north side, and we thought it was cold, and then we knew that it was the hottest time.
In huang wei's eyes, China is located in the northern hemisphere, so it is cold whenever it is. So they brought a thick coat in Shanghai's hottest August, which is a funny thing to remember.
When they first arrived in Shanghai, they saw a modern city with skyscrapers rising up, and huang wei and his classmates were shocked as never before. At the same time, he also strengthened his idea of diligent study. Huang wei is majoring in architecture. He believes that he can learn very good professional knowledge in China. In the first year, he passed the language barrier. Four years later, he devoted himself to the sea of expertise. These five years were an extremely important five years in his life. In China, he not only learned professional knowledge, but also met a very good teacher and a very kind classmate. "We international students, studying in China, have a lot of difficulties and always get help from Chinese friends. Chinese students are very warm and friendly. If you don't learn a course, you can ask him, or if your phone is broken, he will take you to a place to fix it. Chinese teachers are especially good, so long as you have a problem, you tell him, he will have a way to help you.
In June, after graduating from China, huang wei took a master's degree, and he will spend three years studying in China. For the future, huang has a clear goal. "My goal is to finish my postgraduate study and work in Shanghai for three or four years, to accumulate experience and come back, because our country needs talent more. My dream is to open a house and design a company.

2015年7月，我在柬埔寨首都金边见到了一位在中国留学五年的柬埔寨人黄伟。他带眼镜，皮肤比当地人白许多，也许是在中国生活时间长了，倒有几分像中国人了。
“我的柬埔寨语名字叫Hang Chamnelim，我中文名字叫黄伟，我今年25岁。”黄伟说。别看他现在中文流利，镇定自若，五年前，他可是怀着一颗忐忑的心从金边飞往中国上海求学的。去中国之前，他一句中文都不会。“我对中国的印象就是中国人特别会做生意，中文用得特别广泛，做生意的人都是会说中文的，这是我年轻时候的想法。”
2010年8月，黄伟凭借自己的勤奋和努力，得到了中国政府奖学金。于是，他和其他去中国留学的同学一起，搭上了去往中国上海的飞机。由于不了解的中国的天气，刚开始还因此闹了笑话。“当时是八月份，从金边飞过去的。我们十个人，每个人都带着外套，因为觉得上海靠北边，觉得当时是冷的天气，到那边才知道，其实那时候是最热的时候。”
在黄伟的眼里，中国地处北半球，所以不管什么时候都是冷的。于是他们在上海最热的八月份每人带了一件厚厚的外套，这也是他们至今回想起来觉得很搞笑的一件事。
初到上海，他们看到的是一个现代化的都市，摩天大楼拔地而起，黄伟和他的同学们感到前所未有的震撼。同时，也更加坚定了他勤奋学习的想法。黄伟所学的是建筑学专业，他相信，在中国他能学到很好的专业知识。第一年，他过了语言关。之后的四年，他投身到专业知识的海洋。这五年，是他人生中极其重要的五年。在中国，他不仅学到了专业知识，也遇到了很好的老师，很友善的同学。“我们留学生，在中国学习，遇到的困难不少，总是得到中国朋友的帮助。中国学生很热情，很友好。学习的课程不会的话，可以去问他，或者你手机坏了什么的，他会带你去修的地方。中国的老师特别好，只要你有问题，你跟他说，他就会有办法帮助你。”
今年6月，在中国本科毕业后，黄伟又考取了硕士，他还将在中国度过3年的学习时光。对于未来，黄伟早已有了自己清晰的目标。“我的目标就是读完研究生然后在上海那边工作三、四年吧，积累经验再回来，因为我们国家更需要人才。我的梦想是开一家房屋建筑、设计的公司。”
