“虽然我是吉尔吉斯斯坦人，但我的根在陕西”
来自吉尔吉斯斯坦首都比什凯克市的马山，是第五代“东干族”人，现在西北大学地质系读大二。两年的语言学习使他能够说一口流利的中文。
上中学的时候，从历史课本上知道了丝绸之路和它的起点——西安。之所以选择来西安上学，除了看重西北大学地质系的顶尖排名，马山更看重自己和陕西的历史渊源。“父母很支持我来中国学习，虽然我们现在是吉尔吉斯斯坦人，但我的祖先是‘东干族’，我的根在陕西，我爱这里。”马山说。
马山告诉记者，吉尔吉斯斯坦矿产资源丰富，地质专业就业前景良好，来西北大学读地质专业是他周围许多同龄人的梦想。“这里的学习氛围非常好，老师教学很严谨，能让我学到更多更先进的专业知识。”
在马山的家乡，有很多中国人做生意，家具、家电、服装等，几乎涵盖了所有生活日用品，“我们国家吃的穿的90%来自中国，这几年商品质量也越来越好了，物美价廉”。
对于中国提出建设丝绸之路经济带的畅想，马山表示很兴奋，他的理想是毕业后去一家石油公司工作，在中国留学后这样的机会就更多了。尤其是中国与中亚国家未来会有频繁的经贸、文化等领域互动，“找个好工作并不难，因为我有语言优势。”
“我热爱中文，要去中国的中心学习语言”
别库兰是拿着吉尔吉斯斯坦孔子学院奖学金来西北大学修汉语言文学专业的硕士研究生，他对自己未来的职业规划有清晰的定位：回国当一名汉语老师，因为在当地汉语是热门语种，学汉语的人和学英语的比例相当。
来华已两年的别库兰还逛过乌鲁木齐、武汉、广州等大城市，感叹每个城市的繁华与特色。别库兰说，“我非常热爱中国文化，但我更喜欢西安，因为这里曾经是中国的政治、经济、文化中心，在西安能让我更近距离地触摸历史，我的硕士毕业论文就准备写中吉文化差异”。
在国内上大四时候，别库兰去新疆大学参加两国学生的一次交流活动，从那时起，他萌生了来中国学习汉语的念头。“其实乌鲁木齐的生活习惯和我们更接近，在那里听维语也基本能听懂，就像住在美国唐人街的中国人一样，不需要学英语也能生活，这样可能会滋长我学习的惰性。我觉得学习地道的外语就要到一个国家的中心位置去学，因为那里的语言最正宗，所以我来了”。
让别库兰稍稍感到遗憾的是，周围的中国朋友对吉尔吉斯斯坦很陌生，大都不怎么了解这个中国的邻居。对于那些不知道吉尔吉斯斯坦在哪里的人，别库兰有时会开玩笑地告诉他们在美国的旁边，“他们竟然也相信，这和我们国家的人对中国的了解形成很大的反差。吉尔吉斯斯坦的学生可以来华留学，中国的学生也同样可以去吉留学，了解我们的历史文化，只有增进了解才能使中吉双方展开进一步合作与交流”。
中亚学院将吸引更多留学生
保持和发展我国与中亚各国的友好交往关系，需要一大批了解中亚文化、掌握中亚各国语言的人才，然而，目前我国在这方面人才奇缺。
据悉，眼下我省正在加快推进西北大学等院校与撒马尔罕大学建立文化交流合作，招收中亚各国留学生，同时培养一批掌握中亚语言又有专业技能的复合型人才。
作为全国最早为中亚各国培养留学生院校之一的西北大学，2000年以来，已培养中亚各国留学生1000余名，是陕西省培养中亚留学生最多的院校之一。目前，西北大学中亚留学生所学专业主要集中在国际贸易、石油地质勘探、汉语国际教育等几个专业。
据西北大学校长方光华介绍，为了响应我省提出建设“丝绸之路经济带”新起点的号召，西大准备设立中亚学院，负责中亚留学生语言学习和学历教育、中国学生学习中亚语言和文化、中国语言文化在中亚的推广与交流等工作，以期为我国与丝绸之路沿线国家扩大交流与合作培养更多复合型人才。
不难想象，未来陕西将会出现更多的中亚面孔，西安也逐渐融入与中亚合作的经济链中，并以“新起点”的崭新姿态向国际化大都市进发。
