Pharmacist Michael: "one word: value!"
There is a simple two-story white building on the streets of lumumba in the heart of the ugandan capital Kampala, which is home to Uganda's national drug administration. We met muteabba Michael romeo at the reception desk. Michael, who was 30, was a shy, soft-spoken man. He was dressed in a white coat, and he wore a dark blue plaid tie, which was a little thin. With a pair of silver-rimmed glasses on his nose, he looked more like a scholar.
Michael went to study in China in 1998, in nanjing normal university for a year in language learning and China pharmaceutical university in nanjing pharmaceutical professional after 4 years of undergraduate course, graduated in 2003 returned. After returning home, Michael attended a year of clinical training in Uganda in accordance with the regulations of Uganda, and then worked as a pharmacist in Uganda's food and drug administration.
Currently, Michael is in charge of drug registration, drug dosimetry and drug testing. Michael said with emotion that he could easily find such an enviable job after graduation from his studies in China. "Uganda is very short of medical talent, and returning students who have studied abroad in China are generally in demand." Compared with ugandan universities, Chinese universities have stronger faculty, more scientific courses, and complete facilities such as laboratories, Michael said.
As the only mandarin speaker in the agency, Michael naturally took on the task of dealing with the Chinese medical team. He is often in contact with Chinese medical teams for drug entry. For example, some of the drugs imported from China have only Chinese instructions and no English instructions, and Michael has "guest" translations, translating the ingredients and validity of these drugs into English. His communication with the medical team and the fda helped the medical team solve a big problem.
Recall study in China during the day, said Michael initially because of differences in language and culture, met with many difficulties in life and learning, but not only adapt to the later, also fell in love with Chinese food and culture. According to Michael, he likes to listen to the Chinese national music, and is also a fan of music in China, especially the songs of Andy lau and Lin. As he spoke, Michael sang the old song, "at least you," with the reporter. Because of his excellent grades, Michael was also rated as "outstanding student" during his school years. Speaking of this, he pulled out a testimonial from his computer and proudly showed it to reporters. In summarizing his five years as a student in China, Michael said with a Chinese smile, "a word: value!"
Speaking of his future plans, Michael said that he had been looking forward to the opportunity to go back to China for further study, to see the development and changes of China in recent years.
"I have a wish! I went to Beijing to watch the Olympics in 2008! Michael was excited.

"China tong" Pierre: "come to me with business opportunities"
Lu tower Mr Pierre carney, West Virginia, a minor celebrity in the Chinese community in Rwanda, meet before they heard that he is a god's character, someone says he is "kan ye", some said he was "freelancer", some said he became a little boss, is debated. The only certainty is that he went to China to study medicine under the auspices of the Chinese government scholarship. Until the moment we see Pierre, certainly know that he is now in the rwandan capital Kigali city hospital as a surgeon, and treats people with sincerity, trustworthy, is by no means a "fool".
Pierre, 40, looked younger than he was, with an average height and a casual look, with a genuine smile reminiscent of spring sunshine, warm and comfortable. He went to study in China in 1992, from 1993 to 1999 in Shanghai second medical university medical undergraduate study, back to Africa to 2000, after graduation in Uganda's second largest city jin jin jia jia city hospital (medical team on the hospital is also the Chinese aid Uganda). In 2000, Pierre returned to China to study for a master's degree in general surgery at wuhan university and returned to China in 2003. In the next two years, Pierre did as the outside world "widely" do "freelancer", fluent Chinese, familiar with the Chinese he had as a "translation" and "guide" leading businessmen in China to Rwanda purchasing commodity and equipment. In the following year, Pierre returned to his old job and continued to work at jinja hospital. In 2006, he was transferred to a basic hospital in the rwandan capital, Kigali, until now.
Although is a conscientious doctor, because there are many relatives at home are doing business, has a sensitive Pierre to business at an early age, but he didn't think he will be in promoting the angel of china-luxembourg economic and trade exchanges between the two countries.
With the development of lu in the economic and trade cooperation, abundant and cheap Chinese goods market in Rwanda, in the capital Kigali city even has a big Chinese supermarket named "T2000", business is booming. But Pierre said, at present there are still many Rwanda businessmen do not understand Chinese, foreign businessmen and even some motivation in the rumor that Chinese goods quality is bad, cause a lot of Rwanda businessman from the united Arab emirates dubai or sourcing from European and American merchants pay high cost.
"I have lived in China for 10 years and witnessed China's economic development and market prosperity. I feel it is my duty to do something to see that my country's businessmen cannot make the most of China's huge market and business opportunities. Pierre first came up with the idea of connecting rwandese businessmen and Chinese companies, and in the two years since they graduated in 2003.
Pierre is the small circle of friends have a reputation of "China hands", some businessmen wanted to come to China to do business, Rwanda by Pierre's friend get in touch with him, Pierre was through their "contacts" in China to find the corresponding manufacturer in China, and then take the Uganda businessmen to China inspection personally pick up the goods. Pierre would accompany some ugandan businessmen to China every year, importing small goods, machinery and equipment from China.
Speaking of the experience, Pierre said happily, "I have introduced a successful business, and I will never introduce myself to anyone who is not sure of it. I have made four or five 'big bucks' in my introduction. "I really want to be a bridge between China and Rwanda. Many rwandan businessmen don't know much about China yet, and they dare not rush to China. But I want to tell them, 'don't be afraid, I can assure you that what you buy is the best. Pierre patted his chest.
The good news is that all is history. Now, Pierre and his wife have a two-year-old son, and the family lives in harmony and beauty. Asked what he was going to do in the future, he said excitedly: "I'm going to open a very large clinic with three major departments of surgery, medicine and obstetrics." "But at the moment it seems like it's just a dream, because opening a clinic costs a lot of money." Pierre shook his head with a smile.
Reporter inadvertently bring their cervical spine due to working at a bit under the weather all year round, and thought that Pierre immediately stood up and went to the reporters behind the approach road to massage, while in China, it turned out that he has been learning acupuncture and massage, and acupuncture and moxibustion medical license. The reporter's neck was relaxed with a massage.
Pierre said he plans to take his wife and son to China and has been looking forward to returning to China to pursue a doctorate in medicine. The interview ended with a mischievous reminder: "if you find any business, don't forget to come to Rwanda!"
